With over a decade and a half of professional experience as an on-air reporter and storyteller, Andrew Falzon has created award winning video content, and spent his entire professional career working in the world’s largest media market, New York City. 


At the iconic TV news magazine 60 Minutes, Andrew was a part of the team that produced Anderson Cooper’s story, Gardens of the Queen, which won an Edward R. Murrow award. At 1010 WINS, the most listened to news radio station in the nation, Andrew was the on-scene reporter, contributing audio and photographs that helped WINS win a 2020 Murrow Award for its social media coverage of World Pride Day. 


Currently, Andrew produces science and arts stories for CUNY TV, a non-commercial educational television station in New York City, owned and operated by the City University of New York. At CUNY TV, he has been part of Emmy winning teams for education programming and has been Emmy nominated for his science reporting. 


His stories have him leading video shoots at iconic science and cultural locations like the American Museum of Natural Science & History, the U.S.S. Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Bronx Zoo. 


Andrew’s work has also appeared on various media outlets including CBS News, ESPN.com, Madison Square Garden Networks, HDNet, WNBC NewsChannel 4, NY1, News12 Networks.


In addition to being a skilled videographer and photographer, he is also an FAA-licensed drone pilot, bringing a whole new perspective to the stories he tells. 


Andrew holds a dual-bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science from Hofstra University and a master’s degree in Media Studies from the City University of New York’s Brooklyn College. 


In his free time, Andrew enjoys working out, rooting for the New York Rangers and spending time in places warmer than a New York winter.
