Debi Gallo Biography

Debi Gallo

Multimedia Journalist

Ewing, New Jersey

For a young inquisitive mind, a perpetual performer and a woman who thrives on deadlines, a career in television news seemed a natural calling for Debi.

As an award-winning journalist with more than 15 years in broadcasting, she has been fortunate to experience a myriad of successes, while anchoring and reporting both news and sports for television and radio stations in Washington, D.C., West Virginia, New Jersey, and New York City. Debi returned to the New York area to work as a reporter in WNBC's “Chopper 4.” But as fate would have it, she was not in the chopper on the day it crashed; she was in the Poconos playing golf.

Well-known for her hands-on stories, Debi has flown an F-16 fighter jet, covered the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks, the New York World Series-Subway Series, NY Giants and NJ Devils playoff games, plus the Senior PGA Tour just to name a few.

Her life and career were forever changed by her extensive news reporting following the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York City. Being a part of one of the world’s biggest news stories taught her tremendously, including how to focus amid sheer chaos and how to communicate clearly and concisely under immense pressure and severe deadlines.

While taking a sabbatical in Italy, Debi wrote her debut novel, Confessions of a Television Reporter, detailing some of the incredible highs and lows within the news business (available on Amazon). See the video trailer here: https://tinyurl.com/Confessions-of-TV-Reporter.

Now a Managing Partner with New Renaissance Communications, a full-service communications firm, Debi heads the video production house. She uses her journalistic instincts to make stories simple…focusing on fast-paced, story-driven videos to engage and deliver messages that matter.
