Ian Smith is an Emmy-nominated multimedia journalist and video producer with five years of on-air experience. His career includes working as a multimedia journalist for KFOR, the NBC affiliate in Oklahoma City, anchoring, producing and reporting for KAGS, the NBC affiliate in Bryan-College Station, Texas, and working as a video journalist for KLTV, the ABC-affiliate in Tyler, Texas.
Ian also worked for a Fortune 500 company’s media team, where he introduced a video-based news platform for the organization's internal publication and marketing outlets.
Ian graduated from the Jack J. Valenti School of Communication at the University of Houston and interned for both the ABC and Fox affiliates in Houston, Texas.
People are at the center of his projects and he takes pride in bringing out the emotional and human aspects of a story.
He is currently based in New York City where he produces independent video and photography projects.
