My name is Katherine, but I prefer to go by Kat. I’m a Long Island native and graduate from The School of Journalism at Stony Brook University.

I moved to Miami in the beginning of 2021 to take on new challenges and grow my career in a smaller market.

4+ years of journalism, content creating and social media marketing management experience with a demonstrated history of working with online, radio, videography and print mediums.

Proven success demonstrated by winning the 2021 National Edward R. Murrow Award for “Excellence in Audio Feature Reporting," the 2021 Fair Media Council FOLIO Award for “Best History Feature” and the 2020 Fair Media Council FOLIO award for “Best Use of Instagram”.

I’ve always felt a drive to try to change the world and what better way to be a part of the conversation of our time than through journalism.
