Nick Calderone Biography

Nick Calderone

Multimedia Journalist & Video Storyteller

Glendale, Arizona

Rural road. Post-graduation summer day. I’m in the car with my mom. Windows down. I’d received a few college acceptance letters and decided on a school. I felt good about my next steps in education when my mom hit me with a question I hadn’t considered yet.

What’s going to be your major?” she asked. I hadn’t a clue, but she did. “Why don’t you go into television? You like making videos”.

And thus began my 27-year career in TV.

In that time, I’ve won awards for my photojournalism delivering meaningful and impactful stories in local news. I navigated the emergence of online media and evolved to become an Emmy winning multimedia journalist for NBC.

I launched a video production company creating engaging videos to improve sales and reputation for a myriad of businesses. And most notably, hosted a groundbreaking nationally syndicated television show.

RightThisMinute was syndicated in 93% of the country as well as parts of Canada and the Caribbean Islands. I’m most proud of being a part of this show from the first episode to it’s very last 11 years later.

In that time, I would finely hone my storytelling skills by featuring in more 6,400 episodes.

I relished crafting captivating stories around the best moments of a video, drawing out any range of emotions from my fellow hosts and viewers…making them laugh, gasp, question or join a call to action. I knew how to involve them.

I value storytelling and now I’m ready to take everything I’ve learned in 27 years behind of and in front of the camera and apply it telling your story.

How cool to tell my mom her country road suggestion turned into a fulfilling career of happiness and passion.
